Year 3 and Year 5 Camp

Year 3 Camp - Golden Valley Resort

The Golden Valley Camp is an exciting and valuable component of the Year Three curriculum and all students are strongly encouraged to attend.  The basic themes of the camp are fun and adventure and the camp offers a wide range of activities such as: 

Flying Fox, Bush Walks, Pony Rides, Sensory Trail, Bush Cooking, Compass Trails, Rope Course, Trampoline and Line Dancing

In addition to having a great time, the camp aims to:-

Ø      Broaden students’ experiences in different environments

Ø      Develop independence and responsibility

Ø      Develop co-operative living skills

The children are :- 

Ø      Accommodated in large bunkrooms with an en-suite

Ø     Served nutritious home-style meals with snacks between main  meals

They will travel to the campsite on buses with seat belts for everyone.

Year 5 Camp - Swan Hill Tour
 

 Students visit and study the many places of interest such as:

·      Sharp's Movie House and Penny Arcade

·      Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement - including study tour and Pioneer Activity Program

·      Sound and Light Night Tour at Pioneer settlement

·      Tyntynder Homestead

·      Murray Downs Homestead Farm Tour N.S.W.

·      Cruise on the P.S. Pyap on the Murray River

·      Donna Ceramics

·      Central Deborah Mine in Bendigo

Students travel to and from Swan Hill on five star coaches with seatbelts, TV, video, reclining seats and air- conditioning.  

Accommodation is at Pental Island Holiday Farm.

The tour is the culmination of our Integrated Studies activities for Year 5.  Many activities will be completed by the children before, during and after the camp.
